The building is located at the “heart” of Athens, under the Acropolis, opposite the columns of Zeus and Adrian’s Arch and has a total surface of 1625 m2. It was built as a residence, by a wealthy lawyer around 1908, by the architect A.Metaxas and was purchased by the Onassis Foundation in 1990.
The renovation and refurbishment works included: structural reinforcement, restoration of the architectural elements of the facades, incorporation of new electromechanical equipment required for a contemporary office space, new interiors, decorations etc.
The wooden wall cladings, the furniture and the objects have been transported from Aristotle Onassis’ personal office in Monte Carlo and a “museum” room has been created in memory of the famous Greek tycoon. Also many items such as valuable paintings and furniture from the yacht “Christina” decorate the interior of this luxurious building.
