A new building, constructed to house the offices of Olympic Shipping Co and Springfield Shipping Co, both companies of the Onassis Foundation. It has one basement and seven floors with a total surface area of 3600m2.
The Architectural design of the building was based on the shape of the land plot and influenced by the fact that it was intended to be used by a shipping company. The curved facade, the circular lift lobby which projects above the terrace like a chimney etc, are some of the building’s morphological characteristics “evoking” a ship. The identity of the building is given by a facade element, the letter omega(Ω), projecting from the building above the main entrance, symbolizing the name Onassis.
The building is equipped with state of the art facilities for contemporary office use such us: Special Events Room, Auditorium, Foyer, Computer Room, Card access systems etc.
